We look at your trailing three-month average of online giving, so an Easter, Christmas, or building-campaign spike never bumps you up. Only after your average sits above your plan's range for two consecutive closed months are you moved up — and the change waits for your next billing cycle. You'll see a “trending above plan” notice well before anything changes.
If your average runs below your plan's range for three consecutive closed months, we move you down automatically at the next billing cycle — you never have to ask, and you never keep paying for a bigger plan than you need.
Upgrade voluntarily anytime — it takes effect immediately, prorated for the current billing period through Stripe. Automatic changes, by contrast, only ever land on a billing-cycle boundary. No surprise mid-month charges, ever.
Whatever plan you're on, donation processing is never throttled, paused, or blocked by plan movement. Gifts always flow straight to your church's own Stripe account. Annual plans are simpler still: your rate is locked for the year and reviewed only at renewal.
The mechanics, in one paragraph: monthly plans are reviewed using closed monthly online-giving activity (trailing three-month average). Churches become eligible for an upgrade after two consecutive months above their plan range and for a downgrade after three consecutive months below it. Automatic changes take effect on the next billing cycle. Voluntary upgrades are available anytime and prorated. Annual plans are reviewed at renewal.
